"When these guys say they use local, seasonal produce they really mean it"

Sweeping a new broom through one of Bath’s longest established eateries couldn’t have been an easy task. But today’s proprietor has done it with aplomb, leaving the original, welcoming charm at this friendly modern bistro intact. When these guys say they use local, seasonal produce they really mean it, while everything from soups and sauces to bread and puddings are made on site. Consequently, menus have roots firmly planted in the ‘British traditional’ category, albeit with enough chef-driven twists and turns to earn themselves the ‘Modern’ idiom. Meanwhile, the wine list is extremely well considered, and a loyalty card scheme and bargain-priced lunch/pre-theatre/early-bird menus make it exceedingly good value for money.
