A-Z of Restaurants in Bath

black line Moon and Sixpence
"The ambience that made this restaurant so popular is still very much in evidence."

The Moon and Sixpence is back! And it’s bigger and better than ever before (as it should be, after a year-long, major-investment makeover). Dominating the heart of the new-look Milsom Place complex, the MandS offers plenty of alfresco opportunities, including a rather glamorous upper-level bar with its own terrace. And although it may have doubled in size inside, the ambience that made this modern British/Mediterranean-themed restaurant so popular – candlelight, an intimate feel – is still very much in evidence. It’s fairly expensive (don’t expect much change from £20 for an entry-level bottle of wine) and when The Pig popped in, service was extremely slow. But it’s still early days for this old favourite.
