The Pig is delighted to report that superchef Michael Caines MBE is now happily installed in the refurbished surroundings of the supremely elegant Bath Priory Hotel, which reopened on 16 March. Working under his tutelage will be Masterchef 2008 winner James Nathan. With these two at the helm in the kitchen, dinner ain’t gonna end up in the dog. But if that news alone isn’t enough to make you check into the Priory, the hotel is presenting a ‘Perfect Partners’ cheese lunch (£55) hosted by cheesemongers to the stars Paxton and Whitfield on Thursday 16 April, swiftly followed by a Henriot Champagne Dinner (£115) on Thursday 23 April. Expect a glass of bubbly on arrival, followed by a four-course Michelin starred dinner with more champagne and wine to accompany each course. Cheers!
