A family feastTuesday, October 20th, 2009
If you want to put your family into the Guinness Book of World Records for all the right reasons, pack a picnic, roll up a rug and make for the garden of the super-pretty Friary Wood guesthouse at Hinton Charterhouse on Monday 25 May. In association with National Family Week, the Friary Wood folk are attempting to break the world record – currently held by Spain – for the most people picnicking in the same spot at the same time. To take part, bring a two-course picnic and register your group between 11am and 12.45pm. The event officially kicks off at 1pm, and there’ll be all kinds of kiddie-friendly distractions going on to keep the little ones occupied as you munch your lunch. It’s all free, but donations for Dorothy House Hospice are welcome.
