Fancy meeting a charismatic culinary legend? Get yourself along to St Michael’s Church on Wednesday 23rd September for your opportunity to get up close and personal with celebrated chef, restaurateur and all-round kitchen God Antonio Carluccio, the man responsible for introducing authentic Italian cuisine to Britain… and giving Jamie Oliver his first stint in a professional kitchen. Antonio’s new book ‘Simple Cooking’ (Quadrille Publishing, £20) is a feast for all the senses; the author will be taking about how and why he came to write it at a special lunch in his honour, courtesy of those lovely folk at Topping and Co. Tickets are £12, which is deducted off the price of the book should you choose to take a piece of Antonio home with you. Mamma mia! Who wouldn’t want to do that?
