The Royal Bath and West Show (June 2-5 at the Showground in Shepton Mallet) is advertising for a food taster to join their panel of expert judges. To be eligible, candidates will have to prove a clear passion for food (local produce in particular) and the successful ‘Glutton for Nourishment’ (yes, that’s the job title) will spend a day at the show sampling and judging a wide range of produce ranging from beef to strawberries and apple juice to yoghurt. In return for your expertise, you’ll be paid expenses and treated like royalty.
