Loosely billed as “an allotment tour of love and vegetables”, interactive sustainable theatre company Kilter Theatre will bring their ‘Roots Replanted’ tour to two allotment sites in Bath this September, leaving only footprints but creating food for thought as they go. The company will travel to each performance on foot, bicycle and public transport and use recycled props, sets and costumes at interactive performances which take place in the open air without electric lights or amplification. Expect a cast list of playful, charming characters to guide audiences on a gentle promenade around the plot to investigate food security in the fast approaching post-oil world; it’s all happening at Hampton Row Allotments in Bathwick from Thursday 9-Sunday 12 September, and Bloomfield Allotments in Bear Flat from Thursday 23-Sunday 26 September.
