The fourth annual Bath Festival of Children’s Literature rolls into town on Friday 24 September, opening the page on two weeks (until Sunday 3 October) of literary family fun. Highlights of the programme include and audience with current Children’s Laureate Anthony Browne and a ‘Where’s Spot?’ event (both on the opening day), and a session with the lovely Michael Rosen on Saturday 2 October. Elsewhere, there really is something for everyone, from fans of the graphic novel (‘The New Revolution’ with Dave McKean, Garen Ewing and Robin Etherington, Saturday 25 September) to instructions on how to be a princess (Janey Louise Jones’ ‘Adventures with Princess Poppy’, Saturday 2 October) by way of Doctor Who, a Peter Rabbit Puppet Show, Horrible Histories, Story Time with the Moomins and The Big Puffin Prize Book Quiz hosted by Jeremy Strong (Saturday 2 October). It’s all going on at various venues around Bath, and entrance to some events is free.
